Fran Fenn '37 Honored

Francis Talcott Fenn Jr. '37 was proclaimed Bequest Chairman of the Year at the annual meeting of the Association of Bequest Chairmen on Saturday morning of Class Officers Weekend.

The citation took note of Fran's distinguished career with the National Life Insurance Company - "surpassed only by your twin love affairs with Dartmouth and your charming wife Mary (though not necessarily in that order)"- and his devoted service to the College and his class, as well as his effective leadership in the Bequest Program since '37 came into the program in 1966. Quoting his class newsletter, it reminded Fran's fellow chairmen that he had "probably done more to keep our Class of '37 together, to perpetuate its strengthening leadership through the years, and to make it more meaningful to both its members and to the College than any other single individual."
