Samuel A. "Butts" Lamson '24 was named Class Newsletter Editor of the Year at Class Officers Weekend last month in Hanover.

Butts received due notice from his confreres for his "light and lively sheet" 24 Hour Notice at ceremonies during the annual meeting of the Class Newsletter Editors Association, which he served as vice president in 1960 and headed the following year.

"Under your imperial aegis for almost 20 years," the citation read, 24 Hour Notice "has so beautifully revived those times and.preserved the memories of those happy days for your classmates." Butts was recognized also for his custom over those years of recognizing the birthday of each classmate.
