A February letter from Ralph Badger clearly shows that he and Ann are enjoying their new home in Deerfield Beach, Fla. They lived on Cape Cod for a number of years until the winters got too severe for them. "We enjoy it here. Believe it or not, I swam in the ocean almost every day last summer - sometimes a quarter of a mile." A few times this winter he has enjoyed swimming in the pool at the condominium and mentioned a recent dinner party for eight friends but, otherwise, they are leading a quiet life at the beach.

Any guy 86 years old who can swim a quarter of a mile in the ocean must be in pretty good shape.

Upon learning that Steve Perry had broken his arm in January, Kathryn Bauman called him, learned he was making a good recovery and expected the doctor to dismiss him within a week.

Lloyd Riford and Florence from Delray Beach had a fine visit with Dave Davidson and Hattie from West Palm Beach at the Dartmouth Club of Palm Beach County luncheon in February at the Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach, Fla. CapAvery from Boynton Beach, a regular attendant at the luncheons, at that time had company from New York State and could not be present. Ralph Badger and Ann from Deerfield Beach may not have known about the luncheon and did not attend. If all had been there, the Class of 1913 would have had a good representation. The club is said to have about 140 members and luncheons are held the third Thursday of each month.

A letter written by Head Track Coach Kenneth Weinbel in September 1975 has just come to light:

"The 1975 recipient of the Paul S. HarmonTrophy was Christopher Peisch '75 of Burlington, Vermont.

"Chris accrued numerous accolades during his career at Dartmouth College. A captain in both cross-country and track, he led his team to winning seasons and distinguished himself as the number two man on the all-time two mile list. An outstanding student, he was named a Rhodes Scholar and was also awarded an N.C.A.A. scholarship for his excellence in track and his academic accomplishments."
