Adrian Bouchard, who retires this month after better than three decades as College Photographer, took this picture of the elms along Dartmouth Row early in his career, and it remains one of his favorites. To us it says "Dartmouth" and "Bouchard" and it hardly need say anything more. Thanks to the Dutch elm beetle, the scene has changed— but isn't this just how we all see it?
