Policy

A new interdisciplinary major "to provide students with concepts and skills to help them understand complex policy issues" will be added to Dartmouth's curriculum this fall. Chaired by Frank Smallwood '51, Orvil Dryfoos Professor of government, and staffed by faculty from the sciences, social sciences, humanities, engineering, and business, the policy studies major will consist of six core courses plus four others in a discipline of the student's choice.
