Who said that spring was on its way a week ago (March 22)? If you know who it was, give that fibber a bump on the head or wherever you will. We have had some alluring days of sunshine, but the Hanover Plain seems to have unpredictable weather. One day we had lifegiving moderate warmth, only to return to cold and cloudy weather at night with snow, freezing rain, and real rain all the next morning. The next day we woke to see the ground and bare spots all covered over with a dusting of snow. Could this whiteness be the Easter Bunny? No, of course not! It was the Snow Fairy right out of the North Pole headquarters of Santa Claus!

We hope you read the March issue of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE with a good bit of interest and satisfaction. There was a great variety of articles of importance about the different phases of life and activities on the campus, among alumni, and in the whole country. All the way from nuclear business and alcoholism to the arts and books.

By the time this article is out, it will be only two weeks until our 65th reunion will be in progress. If you have not already signed up, please do so before it is too late. We expect by that time in June (11-13) you will not need to bring skis or snowshoes!

Here is a quote from the last paragraph of a letter from Ralph Sanborn: "Would that I had a robin or a crocus to send you as a token of spring! None such abound in these parts yet. We survive, however, amid persistent virtue and innocent trust, believing the while that all will eventually be right with this cock-eyed world of ours." That is the spirit which we must carry with us for the rest of our lives.
