Bill Buchanan, distinguished former Trustee of the College, has written the following letter to Stan Chittick: "Jo and I are spending our summers in our Wisconsin home, but our residence is now at the Country Club of Florida where we spend more than six months each year. The club was started over 20 years ago by Dartmouth men, and many of our members attended Dartmouth.

"This fall we drove from Wisconsin to Florida by going east and then south. We visited Hanover so that we could attend the dedication of the Hood Museum. It was a fine event, and our college has a wonderful new building."

Again, courtesy of Stan, we have the following cheery comments from Brad A.Walker: "Things are going very well for us, family all here for a joyous Thanksgiving, now looking forward to Christmas. Busy but fun."

Lu White, widow of Jim White, Mr. 1924, who in our early alumni days did so much to bring the class together as longtime class president, sends the following report: "Please keep the Alumni Magazine coming my way. Always enjoy it. My grandson is a freshman this year and has already been mentioned in the sports section under baseball: 'another promising right hander . . . Jim White of Short Hills.'"

Wes Blake reports from White River Junction: "I have had to have a knee replacement and after two and a half weeks in the Hanover Hospital have come home but have to have knee therapy here for several weeks."

Bob Hayes also adds items of interest as follows. "Both my wife and I are in good health. I am still nursing angina- pacemaker keeps that under control. I am able to play golf once or twice a week. In spite of my heart condition and age, I am going on 86 years. Florida weather helps a lot. Sorry I missed the 60th. My grandchildren are spread around the country. My daughter has been with the Peace Corps in Honduras in Central America for the last year-is now in New Mexico - oldest grandson in Seattle, Wash.-construction engineer building bridges-another grandson in New York City is an accountant with a large outfit. My son Bob, Dartmouth '55, is with the Equitable Life Insurance in New York, investment operations as operating vice president."
