Pondering a career change? In the wake of GE's buyout of Kidder Peabody, Danny Goggin has reportedly been reassigned to selling side-by-side refrigerator freezers. Also trying something new and different, Mark Stein left his position with New Hampshire Senator Gordon Humphrey and is studying Turkish in preparation for his upcoming stint with the Foreign Service in Ankara.

Mark Weiss has jumped from Chemical to Citibank where he is now a personal banker. Anyone with more than $2 million in personal assets who needs advice should give him a call. Those with extra disposable income might also contact Peggy Gilges or Andrea Krahmer, both of whom work for Christies Auction House in New York. Peggy can be found in Art Noveau, and Andrea is an estate sales specialist. Also in New York is Rick Herrick. He and his bluegrass band perform every Thursday night at Rick's Lounge (no relation).

Bob Goldman reports that he joined former ruggers Matt Haley and Bob Duncanson in San Francisco for a weekend of "reliving their rugby days" and watching the Dartmouth men's rugby club compete in the national rugby championships.

In other '83 action: Reliable sources report that Mark Trauner is playing with the TPA (Tournament Players Assocation) golf tour. Class president Jim Gregg spotted Cristi Robeson and Jim Jordan at the Dartmouth Club of Chicago recently. Also in the Windy City is Roxie Okun, who has graduated from Kellogg business school and begun work at Leo Burnett.

Karen Toulon received her master's in journalism from Columbia and will be working for CBS news. Bill Middlesworth is surviving his second term at New Jersey Medical school and enjoys living in Newark. Law student Howie Brick will spend the summer jet-setting between Boston and Washington. TraceyWeatherby has completed her first year at Stanford Business School and is spending the summer with Apple Computers marketing Macintoshes. Also in school is RayPatterson, who is teaching religion at a parochial school in Connecticut. Rumor has it that Ray has the hots for the gym teacher.

Other refugees from the working world we've heard about recently are KellyFowler, Dana Vernon, Mark Flessel,Andre Hunter, Pete Burack, Laura Vail,Craig Avril, Alan Eagle, Neil Donnenfeld, Mike Golub, and Dave Hartzell. They will all begin studying for their M.B.A.'s come September.

In the relocating department: Rumor has it that Jeff Gardner is back in Atlanta working for Balcour American Express while Mac Gardner has migrated to Chicago with Chilmark Partners. IBMer LizCahill will leave Chicago for Boston where husband Marty 'B4 begins Harvard Business School. Lolly Jewett heads to the Big Apple for Columbia's School for International Affairs, and Clay Spears leaves the Hanover Plain for Boston. Also newly arrived in Boston is Peter Ham, who is working for a Boston Company.

Finally, for those who plan ahead: The next '83 mini-reunion will be held Saturday night, October 18, at the Moosilauke Ravine Lodge. An evening of square dancing, movies, etc. will be followed by breakfast and a morning hike. More details to follow.
