The class of '71 celebrated its 15th reunion in grand style. With glorious weather and more than 350 classmates, spouses, and children in attendance, we could not have asked for a more perfect weekend.

Festivities began early Friday morning with an all-day trek to Mt. Moosilauke sponsored by the Dartmouth Outing Club. The early arrivals were treated to a talk on College admissions by Director of Admissions Dick Jeager '59 and a reunion computer course at Filene Auditorium. For the more sports-minded among us there was a mixed doubles tennis tournament with the class of 1972 on the courts behind the new Berry Sports center and screening of 1969-71 football highlights in North Fairbanks Theater.

A delightful class reception was held in the Hood Museum courtyard, followed by the alumni reunion parade to Thompson Arena where a delicious reunion dinner was served. Following dinner, the Dartmouth Glee Club performed in Spaulding Auditorium followed by a night of celebration at the class tent in front of Mass Row, including a performance by the Dartmouth Aires.

Saturday began with a reunion breakfast at Thayer Hall (much improved from the Thayer we all fondly remember) and a class meeting across from Carpenter Hall. Elected as our new slate of class officers for the next five years were: John Colangelo, president; Mike Fay, treasurer; Steve Zrike, newsletter editor; J. MichaelMaynard, class agent; James Wallace, mini-reunion chairmen, and J. MurryBowden, Alumni Council representative. Your faithful secretary was elected for another five years of hard labor and as the Alumni Council representative of the Class Secretaries Association. TK,TK, and TK were named as members at large of the executive committee.

A faculty panel discussion followed in Center Theater, led by Professors Hill, Penner, Loomis, Wood, Slesnick, and Stockmayer, on the subject, "What Can You Teach Us Now That You Didn't Know Then?" Joe Avellone '70 served as moderator. Next there was a class picnic at Storrs Pond, with swimmimg and other activities. Professor Charles Wood provided a personal retrospective entitled "The Takeover of Parkhurst." The day concluded with a reception and banquet on the Bema (replete with steak, lobster, and fresh steamers for all) and a dance at Thayer Hall with music by "The Flames."

On Sunday morning, following a delicious farewell brunch on the terrace at the DOC House overlooking Occom Pond, the revellers bid a fond farewell.
