Statement on disciplinary procedures given

At their June meeting the Trustees issued a statement on the Committee on Standards, saying in part, "it is extremely important that the disciplinary standards and procedures relating to the conduct of undergraduate students at the College be fair to all concerned, be consistent with Dartmouth's educational objectives, and be respected by all segments of the Dartmouth Community." The Trustees have created a four-person ad hoc committee to work with the Committee on Organization and Policy, in consultation with the Dean of the College and the College Counsel, in examining the current disciplinary procedures. It is hoped those parties will "work toward concluding this process with a set of recommendations for the Board of Trustees to consider at its November meeting."
