Ellen Poleshuck '90 and Sadie Peters '90 took a freshman seminar last year on the politics of hunger. That fact in itself was insignificant—except the course affected the two so much they decided to act. The result of that desire took shape in the form of a Tucker Foundation project called Feeding All Mankind in New England, or FAMINE. With the help of two other '90s, Poleshuck and Peters battled red tape for nearly ten months to set up a system of delivering leftover food from Thayer Dining Hall to a Vermont social service agency that provides community dinners to the hungry.
