Button Cops 2nd Emmy with Philly Promo

Linda Button '79 is the audience promotion manager for KYW-TV, Channel 3, Philadelphia, a Group W station. She recently won an Emmy from the Philadelphia chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for on-air promotion of her station's pre-season Eagles football coverage. After only three years in her arcane niche Linda has earned a strong reputation among her peers. It's her second Emmy, for example—the earlier one was won at a competing stationand joins such other industry honors as ADDYs and CLIOs.

The winning promos were 10-second reminders in a campaign Linda wrote and produced of which teams were doing battle with the Eaglesand what was going to happen to them.

Linda is married to Mark Tomizawa '78 a Philadelphia-based advertising and promotion consultant. So when they are at home in Bala Cynwyd they can talk shop if they want.
