Your scribe attended the meeting of the Alumni Council as your representative at the December meeting, and our class was the oldest one represented. My participation in the Council has been an inspiring experience, as I am sure my predecessors as '25 representative will agree. The limitations upon these notes have prohibited my trying to tell you all that goes on, but they are summarized elsewhere in the magazine as you may have noticed. Paul Reber's son, David '59, thinks the man on the far right in the 1925 Carnival picture on the February page of the current Alumni Fund calendar is his late father, but would like confirmation if anyone can make the identification. He thinks his father roomed with Hal Stevens and Mac Sheppard.

Rad Tanzer, reporting on the death of Perk Fitch last fall in Hanover, remarks that he (Rad) and Larry Leavitt are left as class survivors in the Hanover area. (How about Art Dewing?)

Harry White writes to recommend Presumed Innocent by Scott Turow as "must" reading for all lawyers, a recent main lection of the Literary Guild. Turow was district attorney in Chicago for eight years after teaching creative writing at Stanford. Bob Misch still keeps busy with his lectures, classes, and wine-tasting and seems to be in fine shape. Word from Curt Abel tells us that they are putting their house in Delray Beach, Fla., on the market and moving to Williamsburg, Va., to a retirement home, where they have some close friends. Tubby Washburn reports: "Nothing new, just lose my cane more often. Still have the old Rolls-Royce but can't pass the Florida test for a driver's license."

Thought for the month: Usually, easy doesn't do it.
