Spring came to the Hanover area in bits and pieces this year. However, the students who had spent spring break in southern climes, on their return braved the cold days here wearing shorts, etc., showing off their tans. Were we envious of their color? Perhaps!

According to Robert Frost, "A poem starts with a lump in the throat," and he may have been the one to say, "Spiritual life starts with an ache in the heart."

We have the death of yet another classmate to report. Bill Davenport died in Claremont, California, in February. He was a widowe, and leaves two daughters to whom we extend our sympathy.

Rip: "Our final five are still alive And reaching for a hundred After many close calls and stumbles and falls No matter how often they've blundered I have no regrets and am taking no bets I find there are too many takers I'll settle just fine for ninety and nine And leave all the rest to my Maker."
