Neither rain, nor snow, nor glomming someone's magazine...

A couple of weeks back The Wall StreetJournal reported that Anthony Frank '53, our new Postmaster General, decided to get firsthand experience for his new job by spending a day with an honest-to-goodness mail deliverer. Before leaving on their appointed rounds they had to sort the mail, of course, and Tony started flipping through a copy of the new Fortune magazine.

"What are you doing?" asked the carrier.

"I'm looking for my picture," said Tony, who'd heard his photo might be in the issue.

"No you're not," said the carrier. "You're reading the mail."

The WSj didn't report whether the chastened chief was also tested on how to handle dogs—or Dagwood Bumstead.
