REPORT FROM THE COUNCIL
MAY 1989 Patricia Fisher-Harris '81

The Alumni Council will hold its annual spring meeting in Hanover from June 1-3, kicking off with a special dinner program to celebrate the Council's 75th anniversary. In addition to the regular committee reports, the Council plans to host three major presentations:

• the role and purpose of the Presidential Scholars program, featuring members of the Presidential Scholars committee;

• the outreach program of the Enrollment and Admissions program, including representatives from the Athletic Council, Financial Aid, and the Admissions Office;

• the process of selecting alumni Trustees, featuring members of the Nominating and Alumni Trustee Search Committee, the Council's ad hoc Study Committee, and a member of the Board of Trustees' committee that is studying the same issue.

Other presentations will include:

• a report from and discussion led by the ad hoc Study Committee, which is suggesting ways to reorganize and restructure the Alumni Council—including the selection of Councilors—and is looking into the structure of existing Council committees.

• a report from the ad hoc Committee on Class Dues and the Alumni Magazine, which has been working to restructure the way in which class treasuries help pay for the Alumni Magazine.
