Stan Chittick bobs up with an article from the September 7 Boston Globe about the Worcester County Horticultural Society's September 15 dedication of the Frank L. Harringtion Sr. Orchard. The orchard comprises one of the two major gardens of the Society at Tower Hill Botanical Garden. The adviser to Prince Charles and Princess Diana on botanical matters flew in from England to participate in the opening ceremonies. As a roommate of Frank in both college and law school, I am pleased to see that his good deeds live after him.
Through courtesy of Chinee Allen I have a letter to him from Rebecca Anderson, widow of classmate George S. Anderson. I never would have guessed that George once worked on a ranch and that he considered himself a cowboy rather than a seasoned and successful bank president. After George's retirement in 1966 summers were in Colorado, and winters were spent in Santa Barbara.
