Chal Ewing, Scottsdale, Ariz., having received the 65th Reunion-based birthday card featuring Paul Sample's painting of Ledyard covered bridge in living color, thought well enough of it to telephone the secretary with kind words to thank 1926 for its arrival.

Mercedes Kent, Littleton, Colo., widow of Ben Kent, who died in 1990, came to visit our North Hill neighbor Carolyn Jenks whose son Maurice, being married to the Kent's daughter Anne, also lived in Littleton with their two children. Tragically, Maurice lost his life in a recent airplane crash, but Mercedes was kind to take time to call your secretary with news of herself and her mutual family, recalling past Hanover doings.

At the seventh annual North Hill Dartmouth Convocation, a 1926 banner on the dining room wall indicated that classmates Dick and Ruth Nichols, Marj Hopkins,Carl Schipper and sister Ann Colburn, and Don Norstrand outnumbered 13 members of other classes. Our guest Bob Henderson '53, retired Trustee of the College, had many comments about Dartmouth past, present and future.
