As last year ebbed, '22 sorrowfully lost five members in its family.

Spencer F. Smith, our highly admired award-winning alumni fund class agent 1972-86, passed away December 5 in Atlanta, Ga. An obituary will follow.

John G. Kemeny, Dartmouth president emeritus and '22 honorary classmate, died December 26. He was always pleased with his '22 affiliation, and we were delighted to have him and his wife, Jean, an honorary member of Dartmouth '53, at our assemblies. WarrenDaniell and Len Morrissey represented '22 at the January 9 Memorial Service in Rollins Chapel.

Three loyal and gracious '22 Class Ladies have also left us in sadness.

Edith A. Davidson, widow of our classmate Ted Davidson and mother of Alfred E. Davidson III '51, died November 4 in Evanston, Ill.

Katherine L. McNamara, widow of our Ed McNamara, died in Meredith, N.H., November 12 after a long illness.

Madelaine H. Watson, widow of our CliffWatson, mother-in-law of Lloyd T. Krumm Jr. '48, and grandmother of Randolph L. Krumm '77 and Barry W. Krumm '80, passed away December 19 in Charlotte, N.C.

May they all rest in peace.

On a much happier note, Herman S. Oliver has moved from Kenmore, N.Y., to Hanover. His new address: Kendal at Hanover, 80 Lyme Rd. #107, Hanover, NH 03755. At Kendal he will be in good company with Warren Daniell and 30 other Dartmouth alumni among more than 300 residents.
