Most Twoters probably already know, but if your recent months in New Zealand delayed receipt of the notification, Middle and South Fayerweather Halls will shelter the Class during our 55th Reunion, June 10-12. Centrally located behind Dartmouth Row, these modernized ivy- covered dormitories should prove satisfactory to a class familiar with dorm life. Reservation cards will be mailed in April, and it is hoped all come back in the affirmative.

Any Twoter seeking further information about the dorms can ask some of our lads whose names rang throughout the halls in our Maytime — Haskell Cohn, Bob Dewey, Larry Henderson, Frank Hutchins, Jack Inghram, Kiliy Kilmarx, John McKoan, Wally Mountcastle, Fred Noyes, Joe Perkins, Oscar Rice, Ralph Rubins, George Sackett, Shep Shepard, Morrill Sprague, and Charlie Throop all hobnailed those corridors. The Class hopes every one of them — and many, many other classmates — will return for another "Twenty- Two Up!"

Some Twoters, of course, may find it necessary to stay at the Hanover Inn. Many would prefer it. Who wouldn't? But our reunion is right at Commencement, and few rooms at the Inn will be available. So, if you really must stay there, it is not too soon to write directly to the Hanover Inn now, zip code 03755. But such sleeping as most of us do will be in Middle and South Fayer — and we all hope you will be there with us.

Each January these notes generally begin the new year with congratulations to those in the Twoter clan who celebrated 50th wedding anniversaries during the preceding year. Here they are, a month late, but, let us pray, without mistakes or omissions: Gaylord and Viola Anderson, Bill and Margaret Angell, Syl and Vivian Bingham, Norm and Marian Crane, Jack and Frances Dana, Jack and Barbara Hardy, Larry and Marjorie Healy, Roy and Laura Hill, Amos and Vera Lyford, Ike and Harriott Miller, Herm and Florence Oliver, Ray and Mary Louise Ramback, Larry and Jean Robinson, Spenny and Marj Smith, Modie and Carolyn Spiegel, Hal and Elizabeth Tayntor. Twenty- Two offers the warmest congratulations to all, and especially to these fine Twoter wives. But please remember that our class records would make any computer schizophrenic. Errors, therefore, are forgivable, we hope.

Charles Tapley, former governor of the Massachusetts Society of Mayflower Descendants, was recognized last autumn by the people of his native town, Danvers, Mass. A renowned historian, genealogist, bibliophile, lecturer, author, and friend to generations of Danvers residents, he was highly honored at a reception attended by more than 500 friends. The highlight of the occasion was the unveiling of an oil portrait of Charles by the internationally- known artist Richard Ellery. The portrait hangs in the Peabody Institute Library. Charles lives in a charming, stately 1854 house replete with books and historical mementos. He is chairman of the board of Tapley Insurance Company, with headquarters in Cambridge and offices in Danvers, Essex, Ipswich, Saugus, Stoneham, Topsfield, and Woburn. A skiing enthusiast for many years, he has more recently taken to hang gliding. With Yankee prudence, he sagely advises, "It is best not to fly higher than you are prepared to fall." (Advice equally applicable to cocktail parties, Wall Street transactions, and opulent cuisine.) This note may give some idea why Spenny Smith is so pleased to have Charles Tapley as an Alumni Fund Class Agent. The Class is grateful to Gene Hotchkiss and to Spen-Ny for this update on our distinguished Danvers classmate.

Jack and Fran Dodd have a new address: 11 Euclid Ave., Apt. 7C, Summit, N.J. 07901. Every Twoter wishes them all the best there.

Bill and Trudy Bullen, Killy and HelenKilmarx were warmly welcomed early winter visitors to Hanover. Y'all come back soon again, won't yah!

It is sad to report that Rufus Stevens and RayRambach are now missing from the Class. Obituaries will follow.

Please keep healthy; you are definitely wanted in Hanover, June 10-12.

William Buchanan '24 (left) and Mrs. Buchanan, honored by the endowment of a newprofessorship at the Tuck School, celebrate the event with President John Kemeny.
