Judge, Wisconsin Court of Appeals
Promoted last summer from the circuit court, Schudson has already gained national recognition for his courtroom innovations in trying child-abuse cases. (This magazine included him among "Voices Crying in the Wilderness" in the Summer 1990 issue.) His work has led him to testify before Congress, coauthor a book, and teach his methods to professionals in more than 40 states. As one of the country's most public and innovative judges, he should be on the list when President Clinton looks for future Supreme Court justices.
