Marshall T. Meyer His last role was as the spiritual leader of Congregation B'nai Jeshurun (Manhattan). He was a 25-year resident of Argentina, becoming a national religious leader and courageous vocal critic of the harshly repressive governing dictatorship. He was described as "an articulate voice of American Jewish Liberalism" (New York Times) and was a man who had room for everyone in his heart. He died in December.

Alan A. Reich As a result of a swimming accident, he was paralyzed and became, in time, a voice and untiring proponent for the lives and rights of disabled people nationwide. He founded the National Organization on Disability and was the prime mover of the federal Citizens With Disabilities Act. His achievements are numerous and sweeping.

E. John Rosenwald Jr. Financier and vice chairman of the Bear, Stearns investment banking and brokerage firm. He has led numerous cultural, educational, and civic enterprises and is current chair of the Dartmouth College Board of Trustees.
