Lesley Wellman, curator of education at the College's Hood Museum, has been named by the National Art Education Association its Eastern Region Museum Educator of the Year for 1996 a region that includes the A major museums in Boston, New York, and Washington. With a small professional staff and more than 20 docents, Wellman guides art-education programs primarily designed for school and family audiences.
