So what are the women in our class doing, you ask? Well, let me start I with the ones who have actually written to tell me what they're doing. I received a postcard from Shannon Sullivan recently, who is currently living in "the great state of Texas... the land of Big Hats, Big Sky and cattle." Shannon is working as a VISTA volunteer at the Salvation Army in Austin, "the live-music capital of the world." "I am working at their homeless shelter with little people and some volunteers too," she writes. If you would like to drop a little note to Shannon, you may do so at: 2301 S. Lakeshore Blvd., Apt. 24-113, Austin, TX 78741.

Charts Connell writes from Miami to say that she is enjoying her second year of law school much more than her first, and is busy working as an intern for a lawyer in legal services who represents the homeless. Oh, and she is also busy checking out her new engagement ring! Charis and Noah Taylor were engaged in October. Noah is also in Miami, in his third year of medical school. They are planning a May 1998 wedding in Nantucket, Mass., and hope to settle somewhere in the Northeast if Noah can land a residency out here.

Charis is also looking forward to Cari Silberfein's wedding in Connecticut this July. I'm hoping for full details from one or both of you on that one!

Speaking of needing full details, I received a lovely card announcing the wedding of Andrea Darling and Todd Brady '93, which was held back in August in Winston-Salem, N.C., but I would love to know the details, so when you get a chance my still-Darling Andrea, please write to me and tell me all about the big day and life in general since then. That does it for personal mail, so I will now have to resort to secret Alumni Mag news sources for the following info. So if you ever see your name and think, 'Hey, I didn't tell her that," don't worry, it's not idle gossip from the street, it's just alumni news sources.

Amy Sanger was one of about 60 people to bike across the country this summer as a participant in Bike-aid, a San Francisco-based organization dedicated to raising community and global awareness through long-distance biking. Riders began cycling from three different West Coast cities (Sanger started in San Francisco), and spent ten weeks crossing the entire country before ending at the steps of the Capitol Building in Washington. At $ 1 a mile, Amy raised $3,600 for the organization!

Maggie Lockwood was named associate editor of the Valley Item newspaper in Pennsylvania. She was working as a staff writer for the Montgomery Post since graduation until her recent promotion.

I received an old newspaper clipping regarding Christine Carter, who had been touring college campuses during the last school year to educate students and help promote her important book The Other Side of Silence:Women Tell About their Experiences with DateRape. Carter edited the book, compiling it from stories of women throughout New England. In her workshops and campus visits, Carter talks about how both men and women can work together to address and combat the issue of date rape.

Jana Friedman is working as an assistant editor in the medical books division at Butterworth- Heinemann Publishing, but in her spare time, she also writes freelance articles for various athletic papers and magazines. A varsity lacrosse player at Dartmouth, Jana recently compiled the 1996 Girls Lacrosse Top 20 for Lacrosse Magazine and wonders if her phone will be ringing soon with "feedback" about her choice in ranking high school lacrosse teams throughout the nation. So there's a small sampling of what the '94 women have been doing. And for all those other amazing women out there whose stories I do not yet know, please, tell me! And of course, I make yet another plea to all the multitalented men out there to drop me a line so I can pay tribute to their recent achievements as well. Can't wait to hear from all of you! Take care.
