Engineering professors Ursula Gibson '76 and Ulf Osterberg of the Thayer School are among 48 researchers sharing $33 million in biotechnology grants from NASA for experiments related to the microgravity environment of space. They are studying the effects of electric fields on the growth of protein crystals.
