In rummaging around in tie attic of his big old house in Norwich, Vt., LarryLeavitt found that his mother had saved all of his letters to his parents written during his four years at Dartmouth. As he wrote every week, that's a lot of letters! Two of his literary-minded grandchildren are thinking of using the letters for a biography of Larry for family consumption. This might lead to an idea for students in younger classes (assuming e-mails have been saved, either to disk or printed) and someday a Dartmouth historian could write a book not only on the physical changes at Dartmouth but on the personal thoughts and philosophies of students over the years.

I hope to see many of you in June. Please keep the news coming
