It is with great sadness that I tell you of the recent loss of our classmate William "June" Bryant. In his quiet way he did so much for Dartmouth. I shall cherish a photo of him in his boat with his dog taken just last year. His obituary will be written by Ed Lathem, known for his many years as the College librarian. Apologies to Bill Boise for leaving his name off the list of classmates in a recent issue. He's fine; talked to Larty Leavitt on the telephone recendy. Sorry about the omission. There was another mistake in the list: John Livermore died in 1983; his son is a regular contributor to the College.

Big surprise to Larry Leavitt recently; he was writing a letter to Pete Blodgett when the doorbell rang and there was Pete! What a coincidence. Larry says Pete and he are the only two left from Casque & Gauntlet.

Members of the class of 1925 and their relatives and friends are invited to Sheila and Rad Tanzer's home (8 North Balch St., only two blocks from the football field) for cocktails directly after the Yale game on October 16. For those of you who may require accommodation, reservations have been made at the Radisson Inn at West Lebanon. Please notify Rad Tanzer at (603) 643-2324 or (603) 643-2704 if you plan to attend one or both, before September 15.

Donald Rider, son of Hal Rider, wrote a super letter saying Hal was pleased to be remembered as the oldest member of the class—97 in August. Although "he can no longer play golf or drive his Cadillac, his mind is as sharp as a tack, and good eyesight at a distance permits driving his electric scooter like a bat out of hell." Hal has always remembered sitting next to Ted Geisel in his comparative literature class. Ted would draw sketches of wonderful cartoon bugs, then pass them over to Hal because it was so much fun to see Hal hardly hold back disruptive laughter. As some may recall, Ted's bugs were later used in ads for FLIT insect spray. Hal sends his best wishes to the class.

Hope to see you at Rad and Sheila's in October.
