Greetings from tie Upper Valley in this, the 2000th year of the common era and the 55 th of the grand class of 1945. Come to Hanover June 12-13-14! The variety of septuagenarian activities out there is truly amazing, and gratifying. GeneWilkin has been ordained to the Sacred Order of Deacons in the Anglican Province of America. The Anglicans are strongly influenced by pre-Reformation Catholicism—"very close to Roman Catholic, without out the 'Roman' tie." Gene says he expects to do more hospital work, more sermons and more visits with communicants. It's wonderful that Gene is capping a lifetime of service in this fashion, and we wish him well.

Dick Momsen, presumably accompanied by Bobbie, spent December lecturing aboard a Norwegian cruise line ship plying between Acapulco and San Juan, Puerto Rico. For the talks he gives, it's pleasant "free" cruising. Dick has often enjoyed this kind of heavy duty. He probably holds some record for transits of the Panama Canal.

Tom and Jane Yates enjoyed a shipboard vacation as well, having spent three nights on the Queen Mary, moored at Long Beach, Calif. Meeting Gls who knew her as a troop ship brought back memories. Tom took a trip on her after graduation in '48. He thinks Joan Rowan came to America on the QM and wonders if any other '45s sailed on her during the ww II era.

Nick and Mary Sandoe continue active at River Woods in Exeter, N.H., Nick on his computer and Mary with her Watercolors Nick was a key member of the group that achieved accreditation for this life-care community. And travel they did also: Last year three trips to California to see family and friends, two to Minnesota for family, and one to N.Y.C. and D.C. for art shows at the Metropolitan and the National Gallery.

You may have seen Lee Kreindler quoted in the press assessing Egyptair's liability for its recent crash. Lee continues his career as expert advocate for airline crash victims.

Forty-five's Man of the Year 1999 JohnWhite and Molly teamed up with Dick and Barbara Hinman for four fall days in New Brunswick—two of those days on Grand Manan Island off the coast, where 300 species of birds pass in migration. Besides enjoying coastal nature, they luxuriated in the Algonquin Hotel in St. Andrews. John says, "Let's have a mini there, after the rates go way down in November." Any other good thoughts for variety minis out there?

That is, after the fast-approaching maxi 55th Reunion June 12-14. Response to the Aldom/Pease first reunion letter last fall, with plans and hopes to attend, was quite phenomenal. We could set a record. By now you have a second letter full of further information demanding your response. Firm up those plans, realize those hopes. Come to Hanover June 12-13-14!
