I am happy to report that Emil Mosbacher III is not deceased as reported in the last issues '73 Class Notes. The College erroneously reported his death to me and only after publication did I become aware of the mistake. It was Emil's brother John D. Mosbacher'78 who died last fall. My apologies and our sympathy go to the Mosbacher family.

Joost van Nispen has changed his e-mail address to vannisp@attglobal.net. He lives in and works out of Spain as an international marketing consultant.

Kent Trachte, former associate vice president of advisement and dean of freshmen at Franklin & Marshall College, has been named associate provost for education services there. He joined F&M in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, in 1988 as dean of freshmen and will now be responsible for academic advising and student programs for first- and second-year students. Kent received a master's degree from the University of Kentucky and a doctorate from the State University of New York at Binghampton. He and wife Sharon live in Ephrata, Pennsylvania.

Michael Tracy's Pilobolus Dance Theatre won the American Dance Festival's 2000 Samuel H. Scripps Award that, in the citation's words, "honors great choreographers who have dedicated their lives and talent to the creation of modern dance heritage." Pilobolus has been commissioned by the Cultural Olympics to create a major new work for the upcoming Winter Games in Salt Lake City in 2002. Pilobolus now celebrates its 30th anniversary, having begun in a modern dance class at the College during winter term 1971. Not bad for a group named after a fungus! The American Orthopaedic Association (AOA) has accepted Richard Idler as an active member the society. The AOA is the oldest national orthopedic association in the world and advances the art and science of orthopedics bidentifying and recognizing leaders in the profession. Richard is co-director of the hand fellowship program at Indiana Hand Center, as well as associate clinical professor of orthopedics at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, where he and wife Debbie live. He received his medical degree at Dartmouth Medical School.

Neonatologist Dave Wender and wife Maggie live in Jackson, Mississippi, and have five children. Megan, a Division I soccer player, will graduate from Brown in June. Matt is a sophomore majoring in engineering at Mississippi State. Dan is a senior in high school. Conor, a hockey player (even in Mississippi!), is in eighth grade. In his spare time Dave plays on a local amateur hockey team that includes a couple Canadian transplants who really know what they're doing. Maggie, who has no spare time, works outside the home a couple of days a week as a nurse.

Bob Norton and wife Ginger in Portland, Oregon, also have a busy and noisy household with two preteens and two teenagers. Daughter Katherine was accepted early decision for the Dartmouth class of 2005. Bob is professor of emergency medicine at Oregon Health Sciences University Hospital, where he does teaching, research, emergency room shifts and administrative work. When not on the golf course trying to turn his 12-year-old into the next Tiger Woods (part of Bobs early retirement strategy), he coaches youth basketball and baseball.

Take a minute to send me an e-mail with your news so that I can keep up with Bob Barr's excellent class newsletters. My wife keeps threatening to switch our server to a faster one so send your e-mail to the Vox alumni network address, below, that will automatically forward it to my current home e-mail address.
