Among the finalists in the Best Summer Vacation contest has to be Mark Harty, who spent a couple of weeks in Scotland playing golf on some of the most famous courses in the world.
GT Interactive Software Corp. in N.Y.C. has appointed Dave Chemerow to the position of executive vice president and chief operating officer. Dave will oversee the company's finance, operations, information management, and investor relations activities. GT Interactive is a global leader in publishing entertainment and "edutainment" software, but our kids are probably more familiar with its video game systems such as Sony, Nintendo, and Sega. Dave was valedictorian of his Tuck class. He currently lives in Greenwich, Conn.
I saw fellow barrister RichardAnderson at a continuing legal education seminar in Albany, N.Y. Richard is a partner in the firm of laniello, Anderson & Reilly in suburban Clifton Park, Saratoga County,. N.Y. Richard lives in Ballston Spa, N.Y.
John Casey is managing director of Motion Picture Capital Group in Pompano Beach, Fla. John is also a Tuck alumnus.
Wally Darneille is senior vice president of Weil Brothers-Cotton Inc. of Montgomery, Ala. Wally and wife Margy have four children, Jason (20), Meredith (18), Jennifer (16), and Marshall (13).
My former high-school debating opponent Bill Greenbaum is assistant general counsel at Warner-Lambert Co. in Morris Plains, N.J. Bill has two children, Amanda (9) and David (7), and lives with wife Elyse in Short Hills, N.J.

As America heads back to school, we spotlight some of our classmates working in schools, colleges, and universities. At Tulane in New Orleans Tom Sherry teaches in the department of ecology. David Summers is on the faculty of the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Steve Swift is a member of the department of geology and geophysics at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute. He lives in East Falmouth" Mass.
Brecken Taylor works at Temple University and lives in nearby Havertown, Pa. Joseph Ludwig, also of Havertown, teaches at Friends Central School in Wynnewood. Gary Tomlinson of Bala Cynwyd, Pa., teaches young Quakers in Penn's department of music.
In Lancaster, Pa., Kent Trachte works at Franklin & Marshall College and resides in Ephrata. Bob Wendlandt lives in Golden, Colo., where he teaches in the department of geology at the Colorado School of Mines.
Jim Allmendinger works for the National Educational Association of N.H. in Concord. Mark Chaplin teaches at U-32 High School in Montpelier, Vt.
Ed Cooke won't have far to travel to our Reunion because he is employed by the Hartford School District in White River Junction, Vt., and lives down the road in Quechee. Paul Cooper works at Calvin Park High School and lives in Chicago.
Stan Crane will make the trip to the Reunion from his home in Etna, N.H., unless he leaves from work at Hanover High School. Paul Feakins teaches at Norfolk Academy in Norfolk, Va.
