28 ALUMNI SHARE THEIR UNCOMMON KNOWLEDGE AND TRICKS OF THEIR TRADES

IN THIS AGE OF INFORMATION, MISINFORMATION ABOUNDS.

Cutting through all the clutter isn't easy or always even possible. Enter the expert. The expert is in the know. The expert has hands-on expe-rience. The expert is someone you can count on for solid advice. Dartmouth, of course, breeds experts. The alumni commitment to excellence—developed, no doubt, during their younger years in the Upper Valley—makes them stand out no matter their occupation. And contrary to popular stereotypes, they're not all investment bankers on Wall Street. To quote one of the College's more poetic experts, many alumni choose the road "less traveled by." But regardless of the path, that commitment to excel, to be an expert, never dies, whether it comes in the quest for Olympic gold, conducting a symphony orchestra or even porcraying Kris Kringle. The alumni experts here serve up a wide array of how-to information that will help you do almost anything better. You can take their advice to the bank—after all, they're the experts.
