Lots of great news this month! William Babash has been living and working in Reston, Virginia, since graduation! He got married five years ago to Whitney (Smith College '84). Earlier in the year, they took a threeweek vacation to China and Tibet. "Tibet was incredible—fantastic scenery, fascinating culture and delicious yak meat at the Hard Yak Cafe. Fortunately, the 12,000-foot altitude didn't bother us too much. On the other hand, the smell of hundreds of yak butter candles burning in the monasteries was memorable. We cruised down the Yangtze River through the Three Gorges for four days. A highlight was seeing the colossal construction site of the Three Gorges Dam. We were in Shanghai at the same time as the APEC conference and saw the prime minister of Thailand at our hotel."

Joy Turnheim got married on October 13 to Doug Smith in Fort Wayne. They met a year ago at a Presbytery retreat called Cursillo. Classmates in attendance were Howie Hayes and Shantha Gona Farris. Shantha is at Price Waterhouse Cooper in Manhattan, living in New Jersey. Her husband, Brad Farris '83, and her daughter, Kira, were with her. Howie did yeoman's work making the threehour-trip from Chicago.
