Some political news from some political classmates this month: Grant Bosse writes to let us know that he started working in Senator John Sununu's office in Washington. "I had been working on Governor Benson's campaign in New Hampshire," writes Grant, "and I'm looking forward to life in our nation's capitol." Our old class president Dan Garodnick is now making a name for himself in New York City politics. Dan recently formed a committee to run for the city council on Manhattan's East Side in 2005. When he's not campaigning, Dan serves as an attorney for Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton, & Garrison, and also serves as president of the Tilden Democratic Club. Be on the lookout for news of Dan's campaign in TheNew York Times in the months ahead, and best of luck, Dan! Peter Stoll writes to share some news of his life and. recent nuptials.
"I am living in London and was married on September 21, 2,002, to Gersende Martin" in her hometown of Versailles (France). Many Dartmouth alumni were in attendance including Tor Trivers and Young Namkung '95, who joined a couple of Peters French friends in the wedding party; Walid Kamhawi, who Peter joined at the Blackstone Group in London only three weeks before the wedding; Andrew Plumridge and Tae Kim; lan Stewart '96 (another fellow Kappa) and his wife, Nicole '96; and Vadim (Dave) Granin, "who had postponed the departure of his own honeymoon by a week to finish his swing through the south of France in Paris to join us at our wedding." Dave was married in New York at the end of August. "I think it is fair to say that every one had a good time and most were able to extend their stays in France to enjoy a little bit of vacation and some adventures in Paris by night!" Congratulations and thanks for the news, Peter! Lindsay Amon is currently in her first year at Tuck, "just barely surviving" the coldest winter in 30 years. "Ah, Hanover," muses Lindsay. She did manage, however, to escape to Florida recently for a weekend reunion with Nicole (Artzer) Weeldreyer and her new daughter, Nina; Ellen (Bruce) Hinman and her daughter, Emily; as well as Jenny Klein and Rachel Perri. It might be time for me to make a reunion trip of my own to start visiting friends and their babies all across the country! The most recent addition to my circle of Dartmouth friends was the birth of Veronica (Doherty) Paricios baby boy! Veronica and husband Jorge welcomed little Thomas Doherty Paricio into the world on March 30. Veronica and Jorge live in Broomfield, Colorado, and I must call them soon to see how they are enjoying their new bundle of joy. In the meantime, please let me know how you are all dealing with your own bundles in life, joyful and otherwise. Hope to hear more from all of you soon! Take care.
