Mixing colors to correspond with a natural appearance or image gained from studies of a site, Peter Michael Gish '49 captures nature, landscapes, faces and still life alike. Weather Station at Block Island (previous page) is a "painting inspired by late afternoon sunlight on two old buildings on Block Island," says Gish. The artist has recently relocated his home and studio to Saunderstown, Rhode Island. Lauren Gee '03
