The collages kelly Copper '93 creates—by projecting home movie images onto a screen and photographing them at different speeds—are about "the inability Of any one image to mean and to say everything." she says. Thinking of You, previous page, features a laughing woman from the late 1950s enjoying a beautiful day—a moment Copper says is worth preserving forever. "And yet that seems to me the truth about images: The more you try .and preserve the moment, the more it slips from you " she says. Copper plans to exhibit her work in August as part of a Home Movie Day celebration at the Anthology Film Archives in her hometown of New York City.
