Congratulations to Jake O'Shea and his wife, Margaret, on the birth of their daughter Elizabeth Anne, who was born on August 10 at 6 pounds, 15 ounces.Jake is an emergency room physician and Margaret is a prosecutor. They live in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia.

Congratulations also to Gina (Henry) Lubin and her husband, Jeremy, who welcomed their son Jake Henry on July 28. He weighed in at 8 pounds, 14 ounces.

Continuing with the last columns theme of '97s making job or career changes, after seven years in the software and IT industries Josh Adams decided to become a lawyer. He graduated from Vermont Law School in May and is working for the U.S. Department of Justice clerking for four immigration judges between Phoenix and Tucson, Arizona.

While in law school Josh was on law review with Chris Goldwasser Aslin, Rachel Aslin Goldwasser '99 and Sarah Wilson '00. Chris and Rachel also both completed masters degrees in environmental management at the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. Chris works at a law firm in Portland, Maine, and Rachel is clerking for a federal judge in Bangor, Maine.

Josh also reported that Peter Scheidt recently co-founded a law firm in Manhattan called Solomon & Scheidt LLP. Peter was previously an assistant district attorney in New York andworked in-house. His practice focuses on civil litigation, criminal defense and matrimonial law.

Finally, Josh wrote that Patrick Hansen is developing Web sites at Convio, an Austin, Texas, Internet software and services company that provides online solutions for nonprofit organizations. In 2005 Josh traveled to rural Wisconsin to attend Patricks wedding to Cynthia (Anderson) Hansen '99.

Karen Salzberg has left her previous elementary school and is now teaching second grade at the Chapin School, a private K-12 girls' school on Manhattans Upper East Side.
