GREEK HOUSES ON THE RISE

Alpha Phi sorority became the latest addition to the College's Greek system last winter, bringing the number of Greek-letter societies to an all-time high. (The first, Psi Upsilon fraternity was organized in 1841.) Nearly 60 percent of eligible Dartmouth students are affiliated with at least one of the 28 fraternities, sororities and multicultural organizations that exist today. Here's a look at the number of Greek organizations on campus through the years.
