Sara Lewandowski wrote in to tell us that she got married on September 29, 2007, to Scott Proulx (UMass '98), a high school friend of Bobby Spillane. According to Sara, "A strong Dartmouth contingent made the trip all the way into Amish country in my hometown of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, for the festivities. Kristin Dwyer, Amy Ulfers and Bobby were all in the wedding. Also in attendance and tearing it up on the dance floor were Nicole (Troy) Spillane, Ali (Vaughan) Stevens, Anna (Moran) Anderson, Eric Anderson '99 and Dan Godfrey (who provided one of the many highlights of the reception by performing his signature beer-on-the-head dance). It was so much fun; I wish we could do it all over again every weekend!" The newlyweds traveled to Italy for their honeymoon before settling back in South Boston.
Sara was also kind enough to give us a quick update on the '98s in attendance at her wedding:
After completing her Ph.D. in pharmacology at Brown Amy Ulfers moved to Dallas, Texas, and is now working in patent law. She also ran her first marathon in December. Nice.
Kristin Dwyer is in the middle of her second year of medical school in Albany, New York. No word on what Kristin's specialty will be when all is said and done.
Nicole and Bobby Spillane make their home in New York City with their two adorable daughters Amanda (4) and Kara (6 months). Nicole is a NICU fellow at Mt. Sinai Hospital.
Anna and Eric C 99) Anderson live outside of Los Angeles. Anna is finishing up her ob/gyn residency and planning to move back up toward San Francisco to start a practice.
Ali (Vaughan) Stevens lives in Arlington, just outside of Boston, and works for a nonprofit specializing in educational funding.
Dan Godfrey also lives just outside of Boston, in Winthrop. He has a day job with Lehman but he also still moonlights for the world champion Boston Red Sox on the side. (Some may remember the diving catch of a foul ball, recounted in these pages, that Dan made several years ago, saving an unsuspecting fan from almost certain head trauma.)
A bientÔt.
