JUNE 1973 ARTHUR W. HOOVER, JOHN S. CLARK JR.

Your class officers spent a nice weekend in Hanover in early May. Bill and Liz Pierce hosted a gathering of '62s at their lake retreat in Vermont up Route 91 a bit.

In attendance were Mike and Liz Slive, Johnand Jill Schiffman, Ed and Pat Falkenberg, Al andMary Jane Cook, John and Linda Clark, and Susan Hoover and friend, and assorted children. Bill was, as always, a gracious host, although he appears to have lost his recovery ability.

The College looks fine, and during the weekend an informal invasion of a girls' dormitory was in the headlines. Guess maybe it's back to booze and broads.

Al Cook finds himself happily employed with the College, and is in charge of off-campus employment for undergraduates (a big business under the new Dartmouth Plan). So, if you've got some employment openings, drop him a line at the College.

Next time you bend your elbow, give a small toast to Ed Falkenberg who was recently named assistant controller of Joseph E. Seagram & Sons, Inc. Ed's office is right on Park Avenue in the City.

Phillip Morris International has let slip the news that Eric Dalrymple has been promoted to manager of financial operations. He was formerly credit supervisor and before that planning coordinator. He joined the company in 1971 after having been a treasury analyst with American Standard Inc. and a pricing analyst with IBM. Eric earned a master's degree at Columbia School of Business and lives with wife Paula and their two children in Englishtown, N.J.

Some oldies but goodies:

Ray Dolan got hitched to Sandra Leigh Bannister says The New York Times. Ray is a programming consultant with the First National City Bank. Bill Klein should be finished with his internal medicine and chest disease training at the Bronx Municipal Hospital Center. Last I heard, he had three boys, the last two years old. ErwinMiller is down in Worcester, Mass., and I understand his youngest is also two. Dave Bergman is practicing and teaching psychiatry in San Diego. He is accompanied by Linda, Mindy, Jill, and Beth. Another M.D. is Dick Whitfield who passes out pills for the Southern Connecticut population in Rowayton.

Just a year since we last gathered. Let me leave you with some thoughts expressed by DonSamuelson: "One thing, in particular, surprised me about the weekend. It involved the number of people who expressed appreciation for the efforts of those who put together the weekend ... it turns out, I find, that you gain more than you give in these types of efforts. The appreciation expressed is windfall profit."

Guess that's generally true of the Dartmouth experience. Help push John Clark's crew over its goal.
