Exciting news came recently from Ann Chang and Nathan Bender, reporting the birth of their daughter Madeleine Chang Bender on November 19 at 1:20 p.m., just in time for Thanksgiving. "Maddy weighed in at 6 pounds, 15 ounces and measured 19.75 inches. We delivered at Georgetown University, where Nathan was (conveniently) in the middle of his ob/pediatrics rotation as a thirdyear medical student. Dad, mom and baby are happy, well and excited. I'm at home now enjoying maternity leave until March, when I return to my pastry chef duties at the Ritz-Carlton."

Another major life-changing announcement was sent in by Patrick Granfield and Kerry Quinn Granfield. "Kerry and I leave D.C. for Abu Dhabi in a few weeks. I am trying to establish an English language daily there and Kerry will probably continue her work consulting on renewable and green technology projects. We honeymooned in the Middle East but never imagined then we'd take up residence there. If any '03s are traveling through Abu Dhabi or Dubai, we'd love to entertain."
