Starting off with some sad news. In May Emily Jordan passed away unexpectedly. Emily graduated with the class of 2002 and at the time of her passing was a student at the Columbia University School of Social Work. To honor Emily’s memory, our class will dedicate and donate a book to Baker Library.

In much happier news, on July 17 Brian Feldman married Marissa Victoria Doyon (now Feldman) at the Bar Harbor Club in Bar Harbor, Maine. The ’00 Dartmouth attendees included groomsman Nils Ericson, ushers Sarah Taylor-Black, Melissa Wise and Cheryl (Shannon) Pirozzi (with baby Rosie Pirozzi in tow), photographer Eli Burak and other guests Mike Pirozzi, Erica Wygonik, Ryan Evans, Ben Berk, Eric Buchman, Adi Herzberg, Annie Kneedler, Dan Becker, Rich Dickinson, Jolyon Rivoir-Pruszinski and Emily (Cullen) Pruszinski. “It was a perfect weekend on Mount Desert Island, we even had the president and first lady wish us well. Now, we’re back in Brooklyn Heights with our two dogs Oscar and Howie and I’m working in the civil frauds unit of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, where I’ve been an assistant U.S. attorney for about five years.”

I’m a little behind in baby news, so I apologize for the delay in getting these announcements in! Adam Siegel and his wife, Alexis, welcomed Michael Howard to the world in March. “I’m hoping there is still a chance his 99th percentile height rubs off on me. Sophia loves telling everyone she is the big sister, and has proven very helpful as a babysitter. In other news, Bennett Siegel ’11 is the new president of Chi Gam and bringing back all of the traditions of generations past.”

Jacquie (Johnson) Arana wrote in: “I wanted to let you know that my husband, Andres, and I welcomed our first child, a beautiful baby girl, in February. Her name is Eva Victoria and she is doing very well. Though the first few weeks were pretty sleepless, we (along with our little shih tzu named Leo) are really enjoying life as a family!” Also Nathan Chaney and his wife, Gina, welcomed their son Calvin Rex in March. “He joins his brother Cormac, age 2, in the baby melee (which is of course a joyful melee). We are also relocating to the Boston area from Greenwich, Connecticut. My wife, Gina, and I are looking forward to spending some quality time with our old friends Antje (Herlyn) and Sebastian Barreveld, Ashley (Wendus) and Bill Cook (and daughter Phoebe) and Dave Chin.” In June Patrick and Catherine (Ware) Kilduff welcomed daughter Lila into their family. Lila joins big brother Lane (3 years old) in their Berkeley, California, home.

Great news from alumni in the Hanover area! On August 15 Lindsay (Bowen) and Marcus Coe were thrilled to welcome their son Bowen Philip Coe into the world! Bowen is already sporting Dartmouth gear and joins the family dog Amos in their Enfield, New Hampshire, home. It must have been a busy week at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for ’00s, as just a few days later, on August 22, Emily and Errik Anderson welcomed their son Kastner to their growing family. Kastner joins big sister Catherine (20 months) in the Anderson household in Hanover. Both Bowen and Kastner are anxiously awaiting their debut at Meatstorm IX this fall!

Lastly, our 10-year reunion is only eight months away! It will be held in Hanover June 17-19, 2011, and we need your help! Volunteers are needed to plan all aspects of the weekend. For more information or to get involved, e-mail dartmouth2000reunion@gmail.com. We are looking forward to a weekend reconnecting with friends and their growing families!
