"Rarely have so many people been so wrong about so much."—Richard Nixon 1985. Hey, ho! Whaaaaattt's shaking everyone? Let's just start right out with this month's "Brush with Fame" victim. The one, the only, our very own David Beach! Well, we all knew he would make it big one day and, yes, you can say that you knew him. David recently starred in Eugene Moon for the Misbegotten at the South Jersey Regional Theatre. The news article noted that David "is happy to be back at SJRT where he was last seen as Simon in TheReal Inspector Hound and as Albert in Albert'sBridge. A graduate of Dartmouth College, he has also studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art on a Reynolds Fellowship." Congratulations, David.

And how about the entrepreneurs in our midsts? Walter Jeffries has many successful businesses going. He lives in northern Vermont, where he logs, maple sugars, gardens, publishes The Flash, a journal of laser printing (circ. 18,000), writes books (his latest: FlashCompendium), develops Mac and PC software for business management and telephony, and develops cool laser-printer products like six colors of print-toner cartridges and 12 colors of iron-on toners for use with standard black and white laser printers. In fact the letter he sent me was printed with his "Dartmouth Green" toner. Walter also sent me a complimentary copy of the Flash Compendium which was very interesting. A couple hundred pages about laser printers. I read it on my trans- Atlantic flight this summer. The guy next to me thought I was a nerd. Go figure. Walter is married to Holly Blumenthal and they just had a baby boy last spring.

Alex Tait has moved to the suburbs of Washington, D.C., namely Warrenton, Va. Alex's company. Equator Graphics, is in its first year and doing quite well. He has had to subcontract some jobs and refuse others—a luxury. Check out the September issue of Smithsonian magazine for an Alex Tait/ Equator Graphics map in the article about national forests. Sounds like Alex and Walter might be able to help each other's businesses. Let me just take a minute to be truly nerdy here and print their respective Compuserve ID's so that they can contact one another. Walter: 73130,1734; Alex: 70714,1437.

Nancy Stein Woolf has made the move to life in the 'burbs. She and her husband, Dave, have moved to Chappaqua, N.Y. She writes, "we're on one and a half acres with deer running around our backyard and more peace and quiet than we know what to do with!" Nancy works for Lord and Taylor in Manhattan.

Seth Hendon was recently married, but unfortunately I have no details! Hint hint. That's all the good news. Write me, and remember the 50-cent stamp. Or send me a message on Compuserve ... 100113,31.

I'm sad to report that Martin Kryska died in a car accident in September. An obituary will appear in a future issue.
