1975

Well if no news is good news, then I can report our class is doing very well since I have no news from classmates to report. Dartmouth on the other hand has had lots of news these days—and all good, the most significant of which has been that Dartmouth received a record number of applications for admissions this year and the class of 2015 (yes, 40 years since 1975) promises to be one of the most competitive in recent memoiy. With the budget stabilized and the presidents near-term initiatives well underway the campus is moving forward on all cylinders with the difficult budgetary issues in the rear view mirror.

Though I have no news per se I can report that I have seen Sandy Tierney, David Lampert, Blake Winchell and Steve Gray on recent travels and all are doing well.

For those of you who have not sent news of late, send it along, otherwise I will resort to creative nonfktion in the next column.
