At last, summer in New England is finally here. And with it comes longer days, lots of sunshine and the cool ocean breezes at night that only summer seems to bring. At the College there is an endless supply of news and happenings. At the Hop, concerts fill almost every weekend with music for all tastes. Around campus, signs of new construction are everywhere with new dorms and new facilities nearing completion. In alumni affairs, a vote on the new constitution is nearly at hand and with it some finality to this great debate that has occupied much of the airspace for the past several years. Admissions set a record and a new class will soon matriculate. For those that missed the news, Dartmouth will have received more than 14,000 applications, a 10 percent increase over last year, continuing the trend from last year.

From the mailbag—and only after begging for information—comes news from none other than Dan Kenslea, who reports, admittedly somewhat late, that he was at the gala celebration of the new Corey Ford Rugby Clubhouse and saw Peter Grose, Joe Yastrow, Al Markman, Brent Kimball, Hal McCartney, Bob "Animal" Hittle and Gretchen Teichgraber (whose son Brendan Neff is an '07 and a Dartmouth rugger). Dan reports that the club house is easily the finest rugby facility in the U.S. A. and that more than 800 rugby alums came to celebrate the dedication. Having seen the club house firsthand, I completely agree.

Well that's all for now. Next month I'll be forced to start making stuff up about each of you. So please, send those cards, letters and e-mails in. Nancy and I send ourvery best to each of you. Enjoy the summer, winter won't be far behind... and remember, time waits for no one, so make the most of every day.
