Dartmouth was entered for the first time in an Intercollegiate Run on Saturday, November 20, at Tech Field, and was successful in capturing fifth place, defeating Syracuse, Harvard, Pennsylvania, Columbia, and Princeton. Dartmouth was represented by Noyes, Spokesfield, Baxter, Bull, Scott, Langdell, and Jones. Noyes finished first for Dartmouth in fifteenth position, closely followed by Spokesfield in eighteenth place. Scott, Baxter, and Bull finished 28th, 29th, and 33rd, respectively. Not one of the Dartmouth team quit the race, Langdell and Jones finishing the race well ahead of the tail-enders.
