A book has recently appeared which will interest the alumni of Dartmouth and especially the members of the class of 1889. The book referred to is entitled "The Pan American Union, Peace, Friendship, Commerce," and is written by Hon. John Barrett '89. As Director General of the Pan American Union since 1907, Mr. Barrett is preeminently qualified to write such a book. He has presented in an attractive way the facts connected with the development and progress of the Pan American Union. The book contains a wealth of excellent illustrations which add to the pleasure of the reading.
