In conformity with the view that the unexpected happens, Dartmouth' hurt the track season by losing the New England Intercollegiate meet, registering 24 points, to 30 points tallied by Williams. Whether over-confidence or previous over-exertion is to be accounted responsible for the result, the fact remains that those who had been counted upon as sure point winners on the track failed to give the expected account of themselves.
