On January 8, 1914, a tentative organization of a Phi Beta Kappa Club in Japan was effected in Tokyo. The Reverend James H. Pettee, D.D., Dartmouth '73, was elected president of the society. One other Dartmouth man, Rev. Sidney I. Gulick '81, is enrolled in the list of members.
