Dartmouth College has been awarded an honorable mention for sustained performance in alumni giving by the American Alumni Council, Washington, D.C. The College will receive a check for $250 and a certificate. Presentation will be made to the College at the Council's 53rd General Conference in Miami Beach next month.
Through a grant from the United States Steel Foundation, the American Alumni Council annually make awards in two categories: improvement and sustained performance. In 1964 Dartmouth won top national honors in the latter group. In its 1967 Fund drive, two-thirds (67%) of all Dartmouth alumni contributed $2,101,560 to the Alumni Fund.
