CLASS OF 1883

Lt. Col. Dr. George D. Deshon, Medical Corps, United States Army, is detailed to Ancon, Canal Zone, as superintendent of Ancon Hospital, from April 1.

Rev. Dr. Sidney L. Gulick is making a tour of the United States, making addresses before chambers of commerce, churches, universities, and clubs, in behalf of a better understanding with the Japanese and a closer friendship between the East and the West. For twenty-six years a missionary in Japan, professor in the Doshisha University, lecturer in the Imperial University of Japan, the author of a dozen volumes, Dr. Gulick is admirably equipped to give a sane and enlightening view of all things Japanese, and his tour can hardly fail of accomplishing valuable service.
